Every now and then I get inspired to draw a cartoon. Most of the time it is based on a humorous thought or conversation that I had with a friend. I wanted to share some of them with you.

This is the first cartoon that I have saved. I drew this while in Roman Catholic Seminary as a humorous commentary on the Religious Group Opus Dei of the Catholic Church by depicting Opus from Bloom County as a Roman Catholic Bishop. Some people found this drawing to be funny. Others thought it was sacrilege.

This cartoon is based on a joke that my Godfather Dennis Bell used to joke about painting an icon of Adam Naming the Animals.

This cartoon is a commentary on people wanting art for little or nothing.

Yes, there is a St. Nikon in the Orthodox Church. (Pronounced Nee-kon). I shoot Nikon cameras. I could not pass up the irony and thus had to do the drawing.

And then there was yesterday’s inspiration to draw Rhoda as a hut dweller after seeing a video of the art hut that she built herself in her studio.
