A Triple Rainbow

The only person who has seen this composite before today is the person who was with me on Nov 24, 2014 when I was moving the rest of my belongings from my house to Lori’s house, shortly before losing my house to foreclosure. Shortly before this set of photos was taken, I had been in my house and had thrown the mother of temper tantrums, destroying something and cursing God very loudly and angrily. Lori was my then estranged wife who by this point had fled to a monastery in California leaving me to live in her house where we had lived for 4 years. The person who was with me was obviously not my estranged wife. The person who was with me was very scared by the anger which I showed. As we drove her truck around the block to Lori’s house it began to rain while the sun was still out. I did not pay attention to this because I had very narrow focus at this point. When we pulled up to my house a few minutes later (the two houses yards literally touched each other through an alley) she pointed out to me the fact that it was raining and the sun was out. She then pointed straight ahead and said “Michael, there is a triple rainbow! You just cursed God and this is how he responded to you! Go in the house immediately and get your camera so that you do not ever forget this moment!” In order to understand this composite, understand that I lived on the side of a hill, facing another hill. Thus the rainbow on the left connected through the clouds to the rainbow on the right, over a hill and then above the rainbow on the right there is a slight 3rd rainbow. Even with my 11–18mm ultra wide angle lens I was not able to capture the entire scene in one photo, hence the two separate photos. If anyone doubts the authenticity of this composite I can show you the RAW files and you will see that their sequence and timing.

And yet I struggle to believe that God loves me.
